1.4.0 Coffre-fort à installer
Important
This application serves as a plugin for Keepass2Android and requires a rooted device with a compatible kernel.
No software installation on the PC side is necessary, making it compatible with all major operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and Mac.
Overview
If you have ever found yourself needing to type a complex 30-character password on another person's computer, this tool may offer a convenient solution.
The Keepass2Android USB Keyboard Plugin functions similarly to the official InputStick plugin but does not require any additional hardware. Simply connect your smartphone to the PC via USB and initiate typing. Your password will be transmitted to the PC as if you were typing it directly.
Setup & Usage
Ensure that your phone is rooted and has a supported kernel. For more information, you may refer to the USB Keyboard app, which provides a list of compatible kernels and allows you to test keyboard functionality.
After installation, launch the app, select "Enable Keepass2Android plugin," and accept the prompt. This setup is a one-time process.
To input your password, connect your phone to the computer using USB and access the relevant password entry. You can select the overflow menu (three dots in the top right corner) to input your username and password with a tab separator or tap on individual fields to send their contents directly.
Functionality
The Linux kernel supports a feature that allows it to function as a USB Input Device; however, this is only available on certain devices with specific kernels. This plugin leverages that capability to emulate keyboard input, enabling functionality across all operating systems (including during BIOS access) without requiring client-side installation.
Passwords are sent as key codes rather than plaintext, mirroring typical keyboard input (for example, holding left shift and pressing 1 to type "!"). Therefore, it is essential to configure your PC keyboard layout to English QWERTY. Note that passwords containing characters not available on the QWERTY layout are unsupported.
